Junior Summer Institute

BLI's partnership with Princeton University allows NMHU students to attend the Public Policy and International Affairs Junior Summer Institute with a full scholarship. Students nominated by NMHU and accepted by Princeton participate in a seven-week institute focused on developing critical public policy skills. Rodrigo Blanco Rojas participated in the 2009 Junior Summer Institute.

Internships

Summer Internships

NMHU students can apply for support to participate in meaningful summer internship projects that contribute to communities and assist students in developing professional experience. Applications for the summer of 2010 are not yet available.

Research Projects

NMHU students can apply for support to conduct research projects with potential policy implications for New Mexico. Applications for the 2009-2010 school year are not yet available.

Legislative Internships

NMHU students can apply for support to intern in the New Mexico Legislature. The opportunity may include meetings with student’s legislator, relevant committee members, and issue advocates as well as observing hearings and participating in other activities. Applications for the next legislative session are not yet available.
